Article Marketing FAQs - How to Avoid One of the Worst Mistakes You Can Make With Internet Marketing

Posted by Jeff Herring

article marketing, jeff herringHere is one of the Most Frequently Asked Questions I get about Article Marketing:

Q: I’m interested in several niches and am planning on writing several articles in all of them. Is this the best approach to take when I am just starting out?

A: In a word, no. This is one of the biggest mistakes people make when they are just starting out.

The thinking goes something like this: “If I have multiple niches, that will increase the multiple streams of income and I can have multiple streams coming from multiple streams.” Or something like that.

How do I know this is the thinking? Because this is what I used to think!

When I first got involved on the internet I was a marriage and family therapist specializing in couples, families with teenagers, stress, motivation and change. So I wrote and created web sites in all these areas. Then I added practice building and article marketing.

My thinking was that I would have all these niches on the ‘net and have all this money coming in. What ended up happening was I had a lot of “busy-ness” and frustration and fatigue and not a whole lot of income coming in.

Article Marketing Secrets - 3 Powerful Ways to Extend the Reach of Your Articles

Posted by Jeff Herring

article marketing, jeff herringSo what does it mean to extend the reach of your articles? Extending the reach of your articles simply means to get your articles in front of as many eyes as possible in as many consumable forms as possible.

Let’s take a closer look at three powerful strategies for doing just that:

1. EzineArticles + Twitter = More Exposure - If you are an information marketer who wants to extend the reach of your articles, then I strongly suggest you set-up your EzineArticles account to automatically post your approved and published articles to your Twitter profile. You set this up by going into your Author’s Area at EzineArticles, then your Profile Manger, and then Edit Your Author Bio. In the fields provided enter your Twitter user name and pass word. Now each time one of your new articles is approved and published at EzineArticles, an announcement will automatically be posted to your Twitter profile. In this may you are automatically extending your reach and repurposing your articles. Cost = 0

2. Announce your own articles on Twitter - While the EzineArticles + Twitter automated strategy is very powerful, I recommend that you continue the process on your own. As you follow discussions on Twitter, I recommend that you Continue Reading»

It’s often said that “imitation is the greatest form of flattery.”It’s also said by Alex Mandossian to “Never invent, always improve” which he also refers to as as Creative Imitation.

Peter F. Drucker, often acknowledged as the ”father of modern management” also had something to say about this important marketing principle in The Essential Drucker.

Here are two interesting examples of creative imitation:

Example 1: In December of 2006 I took Alex’s Teleseminar Secrets Training for the first time. After Module 2 I decided to jump in and held my first teleseminar on Article Marketing on December 20, 2006.

Little did I know how huge a journey that first step would lead to, nor the rocket ride to success that was coming.

By “creatively imitating” Alex I soon discovered how to Continue Reading»
