Article Marketing Secrets – 3 Powerful Ways to Extend the Reach of Your Articles
By
So what does it mean to extend the reach of your articles? Extending the reach of your articles simply means to get your articles in front of as many eyes as possible in as many consumable forms as possible.
Let’s take a closer look at three powerful strategies for doing just that:
1. EzineArticles + Twitter = More Exposure – If you are an information marketer who wants to extend the reach of your articles, then I strongly suggest you set-up your EzineArticles account to automatically post your approved and published articles to your Twitter profile. You set this up by going into your Author’s Area at EzineArticles, then your Profile Manger, and then Edit Your Author Bio. In the fields provided enter your Twitter user name and pass word. Now each time one of your new articles is approved and published at EzineArticles, an announcement will automatically be posted to your Twitter profile. In this may you are automatically extending your reach and repurposing your articles. Cost = 0
2. Announce your own articles on Twitter – While the EzineArticles + Twitter automated strategy is very powerful, I recommend that you continue the process on your own. As you follow discussions on Twitter, I recommend that you refer people to your articles to make a point, educate, and to share your expertise. You can also simply announce that you have an interesting article you are inviting them to read and then supply the link to your article. In this way you can keep the traffic generated by the EzineArticle automatic post going for a much longer period of time. Cost=0
3. Get your Articlesby(yourfirstname).com domain name – As an Article Marketer, are you unsure of what to say when someone ask you about what you do? Not sure how to get them to read your articles? Then I recommend you get a domain like Articleby(yourfirstname).com and have it forwarded to your Profile Page on EzineArticles. When I am at a social gathering, being interviewed on the radio or on a teleseminar, it is easy for me to say “Check out my articles at ArticlesbyJeff.com.” This gives them access to my profile, all my web site and blog links and all my social networking links, in addition to all my articles which contain more links to my web sites and blogs. I get my domain names at http://www.MustangMarketingDomains.com Cost = $10.19 a year for your domain name.
If you want to extend the reach of your articles faster, easier and with less over all human effort, then I suggest you jump on these strategies right away.
And you can also get a boost for writing more articles in less time by claiming your free instant access to two of my original Instant Article Templates when you visit http://www.TheArticleGuyBonus.com

gr8 post jeff. I loved the 3rd point. It never occurred to me. This will also work as a cross blog networking strategy.
Wonder if this strategy would work if it were done on a blogspot / wordpress.com blog.
Thx for the resourceful post.

Jeff,
As usual, you overdeliver on great information! I have already registered ArticlesbyJulia.com and plan to also implement your other two strategies soon. Thanks for encouraging us to G.U.T.S!

Jeff, Thanks for all your great tips on how to expand my influence on the internet. I already set up Ezine Articles to go to my Twitter account. It’s working great and the number of people coming to my site is increasing. Now I’m adding http://www.articlesbycinda.com and expect it be quite effective also. You’re a great teacher, Jeff, and one of the most generous people that I know. I’m so glad to be in your circle of friends and business partners. I missed seeing you at Bridging Heart & Marketing. Hope you’re feeling well.

Great advice! I advocate the same strategy with WordPress blog posts. After the post is automatically ‘posted’ at Twitter through a WordPress plugin called TwitterTools, go back to Twitter and talk about it, educate people about it and start a discussion about it while including a link to the post.

I just heard Connie Green say on one of her calls that you are the one responsible for her success on the internet. Thought I should come over here and see what you are doing so I can follow in the footsteps of success. Thanks for all the great info.

Hi Jeff,
All great ideas… as usual. Do you think it’s a better idea to have many websites or to concentrate on building your main site?

Nice article Jeff.
The real beauty of your ideas is that they
are powerful yet easy-to-implement. So, people
should just do them rather than spending a lot
of time analyzing them.

I set up ezinearticles to post to twitter and forgot about it. I was pleasantly surprised to get on twitter and see my article had been published and posted to twitter! That works well.

As always, Jeff, your information is timely and valuable. Thanks for helping so many people. I remember Chris Knight from Ezine Articles sending out your tip about getting a domain name *ArticlesByYourName.com* a long time ago. Brilliant idea. I also enjoyed Cathy’s post about the Twitter Tools plugin for WordPress. I wondered about that when I saw it here on your site.
G.U.T.S. is the phrase of the day.

Great ideas, Jeff! I did the Twitter thing already, and love the automation of it. Really like your domain name with “articles by.” Did that, too. Can put that on a business card, in sig files, etc. Great, indirect way to show off one’s expertise.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks so much for Three Powerful Ways… this definitely “will extend the reach.” I will do all three, including branding with my domain name . I am truly excited about my articles on Ezine (they even gave me “expert author” status…how cool is that?). I’m already following you on Twitter.
Thank you again for all you do.
My best,
Marlene

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the reminder to create articlesbyherman.com
I first heard about this tip from the EzineArticles Blog, then in one of your very informative teleseminars. Your blog post finally got me to take action and provided inspiration to even write an article(blog post)about it.
Keep those “aha” ideas coming!

Great info Jeff! I’ve just set up the automated link between ezinearticles and twitter but wasn’t going to back it up with my own announcements – I will now! Love point 3 – now going to check out domain names….
September 26th, 2008 at 11:27 am
As an EzineArticles Expert Author (again since I revitalizd my article writing effort after taking your LBGS course–thanks), I was thrilled to see them jump on the Twitter bandwagon with the special Directory for their authors like me who also use Twitter.
And like you said, very easy to tell people about the fact you are writing an article on a topic, you submitted an article on a topic and then let EzineArticles tell them when it is approved and published automatically.
The only strategy I don’t use is the “Articles By Domain” because I have a link to them from my corporate site’s articles page (with articles being added as we speak) there at http://www.SunLoverPublishing.com. I find that’s a lot easier to give out to people than my name, and also directs them to a place where all my blogs, podcasts and other authority sites are, as well as more about me and what I do. So I think in my case, it’s a better strategy, although I can see where the “articles” domain concept can be a good fit for some people.

Thanks Jeff for the good info. I have to spend time learning more about Twitter. It is new to me. I try to read one of your articles per day just to help educate myself further on article writing. I have been learning alot from you. Thank you for all you do!

Jeff,
Great post as always! I have actually already done number 3 on your list and am working on numbers 1 & 2. I still have a lot to learn about Twitter and EzineArticles.com. Hopefully I will have no trouble incorporating the two!
I look forward to reading your new book too!

Hi Jeff,
I am still publishing in Dutch. So in stead of publishing at Ezinearticles I publish them on the dutch: Startlog. Can i get my ebook now?
September 30th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
Jeff, once again, great info. I was wondering if I should get that “articles by” page up, but wasn’t up for designing the page. Using a redirect makes total sense. I know what I’ll be doing this weekend.
I already had my ezinearticles set to my twitter and I’ve already followed you on there (and ezinearticles). Reading and following your advice is really paying off.

Hey Jeff,
Great advice. Submitted an article to ezinearticles.com and 5 HOURS after it was approved, the article showed up on Google. And it was announced on my Twitter page. Pretty cool.
