If you are serious about creating articles and the traffic that comes with them, then these are the simple steps I want you to follow:

Step 1 – Pick a specific topic in your niche that you know well. The more specific the better.

Step 2 – Make a list of 7tips you would give to your ideal client about this topic.

Step 3 – For each tip craft 35 – 50 words of explanation on how to use the tip.

What’s a mini-guide?

What’s a mini guide? A mini guide is another name for a short report. That’s what I was calling them for a while and then one of my students, Lynne Lee, another person from the U.K., gave it the name of mini guide and I like that better. It just sort of flows better.

Many so-called experts will tell you that articles are only good for getting visitors and back links to your sites and therefore you cannot make money directly with your articles.

Well, please allow me to make 3 quick points:

1. They are wrong.

2. They are your competition.

3. This is a good thing.

So please allow me to invite you to just consider something and let it roll around in your head and heart today – If you knew with absolute certainty that you can make money directly with your articles, what would you do with that certainty?

One of the easiest ways to market and make income with your article writing is to create what I call “action articles.” An action article is simply an article with questions added at the end to move the reader to take action on what they have just read.

Most people will read something and think “I really should do that” and then do absolutely nothing at all. It is to your benefit for your readers to take action on your articles. Readers will be more likely to want to read more of what you write when they have success with your suggestions.

3 Steps to Create an Action Article

1. Write an article that motivates the reader to take an action or a series of actions to achieve a desired result.

2. Write a series of action questions at the end of your article. Examples would be:

=> “What one tip from this article can you use right away?”

=> “When will you take action on this tip?”

=> “What will you be able to do that you can’t do now once you have achieved your desired result?”

=> “When will you get started?”

3. List a series of your ‘action articles” on your web site so visitors can purchase as many as they like.

On just one of my web sites, I have a page that lists 3 action articles that I sell for $7 each.
