Regular & consistent traffic
This is about getting a consistent flow over time. I know that articles that I had approved last week, two weeks, three weeks ago, five weeks ago are still bringing in traffic for me and will for ever.
We’ll talk about that under long-term traffic tomorrow. But think about this. Whatever pace you’re on - an article a month, an article a week, an article a day - if you’re doing an article a day and give yourself a couple days off a week, you know that every time you do that behind you is an article that’s out there working for you while you’re putting in other articles.
It just continues to compound and just continues to build.
Once that article is launched, Continue Reading»

Q: I’d like your opinion on something. An internet business friend claims that submitting articles to article directories is a waste of time. She says to put all the articles on my website, and the search engines will find me because of the content and strategically used keywords, etc. She says I should just have tons of content on my site. What do you think?
A: Well, I’ve got two answers to your question, and I’m really glad you asked it.
1. Your “internet business friend” is not only wrong, she is very wrong about submitting your articles to the articles directories. There is so much misinformation on the internet, and it really bugs me when I hear about stuff like this.
Thing of it this way - in what way could it possibly be a waste of time to spread samples of your expertise all over the internet that are working for you 24/7 all over the world? This is exactly what happens when you submit your articles to the article directories.
2. Where your “internet business friend” is correct is on the benefits of having your articles on your own web site. This is a good strategy to use and just makes sense.
Now here is my question to you: Why not do both? Why not have your articles on your own web site or blog and submit them to the article directories and have them spread all over the internet?
You can also use your articles on social networking sites and turn them into audios and videos.
So in the final analysis you want to do both and more with your articles.
And to help you do both and more, I’d like to offer you free access to 2 of my Instant Article Templates when you subscribe to my free Article Marketing Minute, a 52 week audio/video newsletter on Article Marketing. You can get your instant access at http://www.ArticleMarketingMinute.com |

Chris Knight and his team over at EzineArticles.com have come up with another innovation to help you track traffic and visitors to your EzineArticles.com account and your articles.
According to Chris Knight, “Now, when you log in to your EzineArticles Membership account, you’ll notice a new “Profile Views” stat that will now track the # of visitors to your Expert Author Profile (example) & Extended Author Profile (example).”
They just began tracking this stat this week, so only the visits to your profile page from this week on will be listed.
This fits in nicely with what I have been suggesting to you for several weeks now - get the domain name - www.ArticlesbyYourName.com - and forward it to your profile page, where visitors can see your profile, links to your web sites and blogs, books you recommend, and all of your articles complete with more links back to your web sites and blogs.
Examples: www.ArticlesbyJeff.com - www.ArticlesbyAlex.com
If your first name is taken, use your first and last name. I get my domain names at www.MustangMarketingDomains.com
Kudos to Chris Knight and his team at EzineArticles.com, and go get your “Articlesby” domain name today!

One of my favorite shows as a kid was Get Smart. The new Get Smart movie got me to thinking about how to get smart with our article marketing efforts.
International Article Agents
As I said recently to the Georgia Chapter of the National Speakers Association -imagine what it would it be like if you could have a 300 to 500 word sample of your expertise spread all over the internet working for you 24/7 all over the world.
Now imagine having ten of those “international article agents.”
Now imagine having Continue Reading»
