Conference Wrap Up…Judith and Jim really have something here - live hearts and live heads bringing in people with live hearts and live heads to teach, network and learn.
Like you have read before in this blog, half the value of coming to events like this is the teaching you receive from world class leaders in their field, and the other half is the people you meet and the networking you do.
And you will have another chance to do this later this year at the second Bridging Heart and Marketing Conference here in LA during the second weekend of September. Speakers confirmed so far are:
Beth Davis
James Roche
Scott Martineau
Jeff Herring
I’m so excited for and proud of Jim and Judith for pulling this off - congratulations to both of them, and to all the people tht attended the first ever Bridging Heart and Marketing.
See you here in September!
Jeff

Judith and Jim held the last seminar of the conference on Soft Topic Copywriting Secrets.
Regular readers will recognize the similarities between one of J & J’s copywriting principles and one of my title principles:
“Attraction is the job of your title.” This is as true for the title in a sales letter as it is for the title of an article.

This guy has got a lot of heart and is a good model to follow. He and his wife use some of the proceeds of their business to go to Uganda and help the children’s hospital there.
Michael spoke on “The Video Advantage - Sell with Authenticity and Integrity with Video.”
Many of the presenters at this conference, including me, are getting a copy of our power point notes to Judith and Jim and they will pass them on to the participants.
What Michael did was have us go to an opt-in page to get the notes and audio right away….smart, very smart. And I will be doing in next time ![]()

Danny & Heidi spoke on “How to Monetize Your Podcast.” I’ve always thought of podcasting as something like a radio show. These guys taught a different approach - creating a series of one minute podcasts, sort of like an audio e-course….but more.

I always love it when I meet and get to hear someone that has taken a specific topic on the internet and flat figured it out.
This is what Greg Cesar has done with Google Adwords and his presentation “Wizardry with Adwords.”
The guy is a wiard and he had recently moved to Atlanta so I believe you will be hearing more about him from me. Stay tuned.

Jody Colvard’s passion is “Monetizing Your Blog Platform.”
She reminds me very much of my friend and colleague Mike Stewart in that they are both pointing the way to the future with podcasting, audio, and video.

Scott Martineau spoke on “Repurposing Content for Viral List Building.”
If you have ever struggled with the notion of repurposing, here is the definition for you:
”Taking intellectual property you have previously created in one format and converting it to a new format for distribution to different (new) channels.”

Beth Davis spoke on “Your Marketing Purpose, It’s In Your Hands.” According to Beth here is how you create your marketing plan - identify the 2 - 3 things you love to do in your niche.
Is is speaking, writing, creating and marketing products? Whatever those 2 - 3 things are, that is the marketing plan you need to go with.
