Archive for Sunday Morning Inspiration

I found this particular combination of music and quotes to be both relaxing and motivating, especially for a Sunday Morning. Enjoy…

If you were fortunate enough to tune into the 2010 NFL Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony last Saturday night, you got to see a clinic on what it takes to be successful and great in any endeavor. Every speech had gold nuggets you could take with you and use.

You’ll probably be seeing many of the videos here on the blog over time. For now, here are excerpts from 2 of the speeches, from 2 of the greatest at their positions. Notice how Jerry Rice turned the fear of failure on its head, and how Emmit Smith shows his gratitude to those who helped make him great…

There are lessons here for us all…please join the conversation by sharing your thoughts and comments here on the blog.

I usually spend some time searching through different videos each week to find the one that says what is on my heart. This one came in the form of an email from a dear friend (thanks Shuf!) as a picture. Thinking that someone must have made a video out of these wise words, I found it in just 2 clicks.

I’m glad I did. I hope you enjoy your “knot reduction” and make it a life long journey…

So we are in Cleveland at the Dan Kennedy Wealth Days on Friday & Saturday. And I’m thinking, “Man, I am tired, and we are in the middle of a launch, and I sure don’t feel like searching for a great video for this week’s Sunday Morning Inspiration, maybe I’ll just skip this week, no one is gonna notice anyway…”

We come back from lunch and the woman sitting to Maritza’s right says to me, “You know what? I’ve been glancing over at you all day trying to figure out where I know you from – you’re the Sunday Morning Inspiration guy!”

That was the last thing I expected to hear. I thanked her and we did not get a chance to talk as the program was starting. Then there were lots of folks asking us questions when we wrapped up today, so I did not get to thank Sharon Hay for your kind words that meant more than you can know…

So thank you Sharon!

And what’s also cool is that when I went to look for an appropriate video and found this one you are about to watch on appreciation, the creator of the video is a colleague I had not connected with in about 10 years. So thanks to you too, Barbara!

And who will you thank after you watch this video?

All my life, friends have been very important to me…sort of my “family of choice.” So one of the many cool things about the Internet and especially Social Marketing is the ability to more easily keep up with old friends and make new ones.

So it was so great in the spring of ’09 for Maritza and I, and Mike & Susan Stewart to vacation in the wine country with Pat & Lorna Shanks, internet friends who became real life friends, after Alex Mandossian’s  TeleSeminar Secrets Reunion in San Francisco.

So I was delighted when, thanks to their presence on Twitter, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel went to war with them over number of followers. Since they are both faculty members and students of our Social Marketing Blueprint course, I was thrilled from a professional point of view about their success. You just can’t get this kind of PR for FREE anywhere else but with Social Marketing.

I was even more pleased as their friend, because they really are such cool people…
