SUNDAY MORNING INSPIRATION: Do It Anyway
ByAdd your text with your comments please…
“Do It Anyway” – Mother Teresa
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, some could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

This is a good way to blow past our excuses – “Do It Anyway” – even if you are next an expert at it yet…

Yay! I love this poem, glad you found a nice video with it! I used to have this printed up in my office… maybe I’ll print it up again today because it really is a fantastic message about doing things to live the best life you possibly can…
shine your light anyway…
succeed anyway…

WOW…thanks Jeff. I needed that today. I am constantly fighting demons of yesterday who continue to try to influence my future. I am going to start each morning this week with a cup of coffee and this video.

Words to live by, and a great message to share and instill in our children. What a empowering way to start a Sunday morning.
Thank you Jeff.

Jeff: I am so glad to be reminded of such wise phylosophy. This has been a mantra in our family for a long time. Everyone has it printed taped somewhere in their home and I keep copies in my office to hand to anyone that I think can at the moment benefit from the beautiful teachings. My other mantra is “be true to yourself” and this is all about those same principles. I hear you and Maritza tell your students over and over to choose their niche from what they know and what they are passionate about and we lots of the time feel that there are already many people doing the same thing or somebody tells us nobody needs it or how do we dare to feel like an expert. And that keeps us from finding our own voice.
“Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you’ve got anyway” totally applies.
Also If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies, Succed anyway.
We can go on and on. I think we can’t ever hear this often enough. So thank you again. Inpiration in my opinion doesn’t get any better than this.

Not that it matters or in any way detracts from the message, but in the interests of “full disclosure” or something, there is someone other than Mother Theresa who claims original authorship, but appears to be pleased others enjoy it regardless of attribution.

What a great way to start the morning, Jeff — thank you! I love this poetic statement that your fears might materialize, but so what? Don’t let them stop you.
In other words, as they say in the Old Country, “Go Use This Stuff!” Right?

Yes, Janet! As they say in the Old Country – Go Use This Stuff!
Love it, and thanks for the smile…

Jeff: Absolutely a great way to start my day, thank you! Life is truly too short not to be the best you can be and make the best of each encounter we have.
Thanks for the blessing!

Great message Jeff! Thanks for sharing. The words are exactly what more people need to hear. (And I’m particular of the “Gladiator” music).
Have a great Sunday with the family.

Hey Jeff
Thanks for reminding me about this profoundly important poem by mother Teresa! She lives on to be an inspiration to us all. I have included this poem in our newsletter to all the dads that are experiencing separation and divorce. These are words to live by and words to inspire children.
Thanks again

Jeff…Thank you 100 times for this incredibly powerful, moving poem & music. Ironically I had just made the decision that even though I was being lied to at work, to just let it float away so that I could enjoy my Sunday…then I got the poem /music, and I began to cry with joy at the beauty and depth of it….You have given me such a gift! I am going to forward it to some friends…
Love, S

Great idea – something to consider: the past is full of stories, right now is full of events and decisions, and right now, and right now, and even right now…
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate you!

Jeff.
Although I have read this many times, and experienced the value of the reminder… it is a message that bears repeating over and over. Depending on where we “are” in the moment, the message can have a different impact on us.
Thank you for sharing! You have carried Mother Theresa’s message forward and that, in itself, is a great message… that we continue to recognize, honor and value people who dared challenge the world!
MUCH happiness in your day.

This was possibly the most inspiring video I have ever watched. And, I have watched several inspiring videos. Thanks for sharing Jeff!
I will be sharing this with many family members and friends and will share it on my blog too as I have an inspirational day (Friday – used to be Saturday) on my blog as well.
Thanks for making my day – maybe year!

Hi Jeff – what a great inspiration this woman has been to me. I remember after she died some of her personal writings exposed that she “had doubts” and she “did it anyway”. The fact that Mother Teresa had doubts and she did what she did anyway gives us all hope.
Attractively,
Alan Hickman
