Internet Marketing Insights - Why we love the underdog…

An underdog won last night…
And whether or not you are a football fan, it really does not matter, because this is a great story.
The unstoppable New England Patriots were on their way to a perfect 19 - 0 season, they just had to show up and beat the wild card New York Giants in the Super Bowl.
The Giants had started the season at 0 - 2 and no one gave them a chance…
Except no one told the Giants…or if someone did, the Giants refused to listen…they were too busy working hard & believing in themselves and each other…
and they won this year’s Super Bowl in what is being called one of the greatest upsets in Super Bowl history…
Why we love the underdog
Here is why we love the underdog and the underdog story -
we cheer for the underdog and cheer when the underdog wins because we think…
just maybe…
if they can do it…
just maybe we can too…

Hi Jeff
I agree we tend to support the underdog — there seems to be something about “not doing it easy” that many of us can relate to. And as you say… it gives us hope that perhaps we too could do that.

I love this post, Jeff! Why?
1. Because it applies to all of us.
2. Because it applies to the challenges we experience as we’re learning so many new things.
3. Because it gives us hope!
4. And because the end of the story is an excellent article-writing model for all of us!
